How To Edit Minecraft Server Files The web based FTP client allows you to manage your Minecraft server files with ease from your panel. To access your Minecraft server files using the web client, navigate to FTP File Access and log in using your panel password. After authentication, you will be directed directly to your home directory. Navigating Server Files Navigating through your server files is a lot like the way you navigate on your own desktop. In the center is the directory structure, we can navigate to, choose and modify our files from here. To view the contents of the folder, click it. To edit a file, click Edit. To download the file you must click the actual name. There are options to manage the files you've checked at the top. After you've selected the items you've to be checked, you can issue actions to them such as: Move Files another directory with your server. Select files can be permanently deleted by eliminating them. Copy - Make a copy of the files you've selected Rename - Rename select files Download - Select files can be downloaded to an archive format. Zip - Archive selected files and save them onto the server. Unzip - Copy the contents of an archive to the directory that you're currently in. Edit - Edit the file using the built-in text editor. Creating New Folder and Files You can create new files and folders directly from the panel by using the New Dir option, New File, or Upload option located on the left side menu. New Dir - Create a new directory (or folder) New File Create new plain text files. Upload - Upload a group of files or archive. When you use the Upload option to upload files to your server, it's important to remember that you can only upload single files, and not entire folders. If you want to upload a complete folder then you will need to upload it as an archive file then utilize the unzip option to extract its contents onto your server. Limitations While the web based FTP client is convenient and fast for light uploads and editing of servers, it does have its limitations. When making changes to your server files or uploading files, you are using the web page of the panel as an intermediary for the exchange of files. This means that you can only upload a certain quantity of files in one session. The limit is 50mb. Any upload or file commit that is greater than this will need to be done with an alternative FTP client such as Filezilla. Third-party clients such as Filezilla do not have a limit on file size since it connects directly with your server's files instead of the web-based FTP client. change is the end result of all true learning
